“You have begun to live the new life in which you are being made new and are becoming like the one who made you.”(Col. 3:10)
Have you ever wondered if Jesus doesn’t have a slight smile on His face as He looks down and sees His lost sheep struggling into the fold? The beaten, broken, dirty sheep who stands at the door looking up at their shepherd asking him “Can I come in? I don’t deserve it, but is there room in your kingdom for just one more?”
The Good Shepherd looks down at the lost and hurting sheep and says, “Come in, this is your home.”
Our personal salvation is the process that’s done, that’s secure, that no one can take away from us. Holiness is a life long process of being changed from our sin to God’s glory. All the time growing in Christ, putting away the old and taking on the new. King David would tell us through God’s word, that those who have been redeemed will say so! If we are not saying so, perhaps we have forgotten what it is like to truly be redeemed.
Let the redeemed of the earth say so. Make it your challenge today to share the love of Christ to those you come in contact with keeping in mind the scripture that says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.” (Col 3:10)
